The 2025 edition of the Gourmet Wine Guide is now available with the scores for our wines

The 2025 edition of the Gourmet Wine Guide is now available, along with the scores for our wines tasted by the Guide’s tasting committee.

On its 40th anniversary, the Gourmet Wine Guide, one of the most exhaustive on the national scene, has rated 4,915 wines from 1,270 wineries, all of them blind tasted by the guide’s committee of experts, composed by sommeliers, journalists and wine professionals.

The wines from Bodegas Carchelo rated in this edition were:

Guarafía Viñedos Singulares 2023: 94 points. The Gourmet Wine Guide describes it after tasting as a wine with a “light cherry colour with a ruby ​​edge. Fragrant, notes of raspberries, cherries, red plum, caramel, confectionery, pink pepper, red tea and Mediterranean forest. Tasty, juicy, fluid, lively, direct and very floral». Production of 2,835 bottles

Altico Viñedos Singulares 2021: 94 points.«Dark cherry garnet colour. Aromatic, hints of blackberry, currant, blueberry, red plum, lavender, rosemary, pencil lead, nutmeg, cedar, cardamom and smoked notes. Juicy, pleasant acidity, balanced, with volume and persistent aftertaste». Production of 6,047 bottles.

Muri Veteres Pie Franco Viñedos Singulares 2021: 93 points. «Dark cherry with a garnet rim. Aromatic aftertaste, notes of wild berries, cocoa, nutmeg, graphite, green coffee bean, rockrose, plumcake, etc. Juicy, fruity, broad, mineral, persistent aftertaste». Production of 3,429 bottles.

Selecto 2016: 92 points. “Cherry with a red brick edge. Aromatic, notes of dried black fruit, fallen leaves, rock rose, tobacco, pine needle, bay leaf, infusions, tar, ash, damp earth… Complex, broad, earthy, elegant evolution and persistent spicy finish.” Production of 8,043 bottles.

Carchelo Ciento 80 Viñedos de Paraje 2021: 92 points: “Garnet cherry. Notable intensity, aromas of blueberries, dried plum, tobacco leaf, cedar, mycological notes and cloves. Tasty, medium structure, dry, spicy and candied.” Production of 25,000 bottles.
